Wazdan bolsters its executive team with hiring spree

The global slots supplier Wazdan has undertaken a major shuffle in its executive team, with a number of high-profile hires and promotions adding a wealth of experience to the provider’s workforce. On a senior level, Tomasz Tajeldin has been brought in as a senior CRM specialist, Lukasz Kasprzyk has joined as Head of Operations, while Andrzej Hyla has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer.

In his new role, Tajeldin will be responsible for driving Wazdan’s campaigns and planning strategy across game rollouts, bringing more than six years of iGaming experience to the supplier. Tajeldin will also take control of Wazdan’s promotional activity, centred around the supplier’s Cash Drop promotional tool.

Green MP Cate Faehrmann has criticised the arrangement, highlighting a conflict of interest where clubs reduce their tax liabilities while simultaneously cultivating community goodwill.

The prime minister is also considering imposing an increased tax on gaming machines in the UK, based on a proposal from the Social Market Foundation. This could be seen in the upcoming autumn budget.

The National Lottery registered ticket sales of £7.9 billion, up 0.9%, while prize payouts slightly decreased by 0.6% to £4.5 billion. Contributions to good causes increased by 2.8%, estimated between £1.6 billion and £1.7 billion.

Large society lotteries also experienced growth with ticket sales up 5.7% (£1.2 billion), prizes up 6.1% (£335.6 million) and contributions up 2.8% (£498.5 million).
